I also take ALA there and there. It is difficult however to know what you are getting in supplements these days, having heard big Pharma has taken over quite a few of the companies.

A good health food store can certainly help you with the choice. I just look at the 'other ingredients' list, the fewer, the better.

Exactly. Look up the ingredients too. I threw out most of my nice smelling lotions when I did this.

Yes!!! I’ve been on this mission for a number of years!!! People have no idea how bad and toxic fragrance is. One good thing is I have asthma…and when I come in contact with a product that causes me to wheeze, then I know it is toxic regardless if it has any good ingredients, organic or otherwise. The good ingredients are cancelled out if they add fragrance or parfum. The same goes for scented candles! Also, I bought a lotion that had all organic ingredients, but didn’t realize it had fragrance until I put it on! My skin started burning and turned bright red. I had to take another shower to get it all off, but since it absorbed it took a while to wear off!!!!! I threw it out as fast as possible!

This is an article I read last year about this and they provide a table of all the brands and who owns them now! It’s disturbing so many of the good ones are now owned by big corporations. I refuse to buy any owned by Big Pharma…we all know they will compromise the ingredients and since they poisoned the jabs purposely; do not buy the vitamins they now own. I did check some of the other companies and the previous owners are still part of the management teams to make sure they don’t compromise the brand. I am not sure I trust anything people say anymore if they sold it off, so we really have to be vigilant and do our homework. https://anh-usa.org/big-pharma-buying-up-supplement-companies/

this is a great link! Thanks! Looks like Dr. Mercola is still free of stinky money 'influence'..

Yes, GOL was a real hit for me years back when their reps told me about their 'new collaborator'! The same was with Chapter and the others! The damn money is destroying everything.

You are welcome! We all have to stick together and it’s great sharing information since it’s mind boggling what is changing. I’ve been doing this over 25 years and it’s a lot of work as you know! I was real upset about Garden of Life and New Chapter as they were always very reliable and I used them often. It’s sad they sold out not realizing these brands will be compromised from their initial development. They will likely be in for a rude awakening, and can’t say anything because they probably signed noncompete agreements!

I’ve been reading this also. NOW supplements used to be touted as one of the best but recently got bought out by big pharma. I researched and found Garden of Life and their label shows everything is made of food products.

They’ve also been bought out and so has New Chapter!!! Nestle bought out Garden of Life and New Chapter was bought by P&G! So now I am skeptical but they were some of the best! This is the article on Garden of Life’s buyout by Nestle: https://www.gardenoflife.com/blog/nestle. This is an article on New Chapters by out by P&G and we all know they can’t be trusted: https://naturalsociety.com/new-chapter-supplement-company-bought-by-monsanto-linked-proctor-gamble/.

I also like NOW brand and their commitment, but now I am very skeptical just like the other buyouts.

Fizzygurl's avatar

Here’s a question I always have in my mind about the supplements: they have to disclose what they put in them on the label, is that correct? I mean I don’t think most people are looking up the ingredients and they count on that but I think by law they have to put what’s in them or can they sneak in some GO or other crap?

Expand full comment
Joni's avatar

So yes they are supposed to disclose the ingredients, but just look at the drugs they aren’t releasing the information on. Now that all these companies are being bought out it’s important to see who it is! Big Pharma has already compromised themselves with the fact that the jabs are thoroughly toxic and they intentionally withheld all the deadly side effects with the help of the FDA. So I am avoiding any bought by them. Any bought by P&G to are not some I’ll trust anymore either. Did you see my post above with the companies who bought them out? There is a table that can be saved and referred to. I am not sure about the ones Nestle bought out! I know some of the better brands owners are going to be part of the management team, but it’s hard to trust that to.

Excellent information! And here I am recently wondering if I should keep taking ALA!!! Absolutely yes!i started it years ago, but have recently been reviewing what I am taking. Our federal government is so damned corrupt! They all need put before firing squads! I never liked or trusted Lyndon B Johnson, and I was a child then! God gave many of us discernment for a reason!

Oh, seeing your comment now, on the 24th of Feb...

me too, not only that commenting issue (which means you better DO NOT COMMUNICATE AND EXCHANGE TRUTH with others...), in addition, Substack is NOT showing the right number of new subscriptions on a new post either, if, then people actually unsubscribe, as if a invisible hand said 'not important, or nonsense..... In the meantime, those who lie get more and more voices.. All is usual, no difference between TV here.

Due to all past experiences I just can't avoid being cynical, in particular on anything digital, any more, for a long time, as you probably noticed in this post (and others...)

And what is the name of sub-stack (SS...) owner and where is his money come from?? It all starts free, like google++, once 'they' collect enough info from you, the channel closes, and your data is gone...

Pirate Studebaker's avatar

Exactly right on all accounts of your experiences. I just started a Substack and noticed though the subscribers were going up at odd times, the numbers in my dashboard did not reflect the increases. Unsubscribe emails came to me instead, but the numbers in the dashboard remained the same. Other confusions as well. Which is always a mark of evil. Confusion.

I investigated SS and found some very strange things in their revenue and investments and employees. I am more sure than I have been that SS is a kind of "corral" for a specific type of personality.

There are stacks that I am sure are nothing more than diversions and outright lies meant, again, to confuse and keep the livestock in the corral running in circles.

I have "outed" several of these channels and it's been very interesting what the repercussions have been.

Ah, well, we all know there is no free lunch. I have learned some very useful information here, but I am also aware the gate will slam shut. Likely when AI has learned what it set out to learn from us all.

Here's a couple of clear reasons to confirm your dislike of LBJ.

He was very likely responsible for the death of his sister.

He was embroiled in an oil industry federal tax fraud scheme with a man named Billie Sol Estes. LBJ was so dirty JFK had made it clear to LBJ he was choosing another running mate for VP in JFKs upcoming reelection bid and RFK was going to bring charges against LBJ and Estes. JFK was assassinated a few weeks later. Hmmm...

On his ranch in Texas, which sold tickets while Lady Bird was alive and living here as a part of the "tour", the huge Johnson family cemetery was also part of the tour. The tour guide told the story of how LBJ had the entire cemetery full of caskets dug up and repositioned so his plot and enormous headstone would be in the center and the relatives he liked most reburied closest to him and the ones he disliked reburied around the periphery. Kid you not.

There is a piece of PR film where LBJ is speaking to a group of school children and a little girl asks when he thinks a woman will be president. He answers that won't happen until a woman is VP and the male president dies in office. I wonder what Biden thinks of this?

Does not surprise me he awarded that guy for suppressing ALA.

This is probably more than you ever wanted to know about LBJ, but just want you to know your discernment gets an A+.

God Bless.

interesting stories about LBJ, thank you. The “Landslide Lyndon” already at those times knew how to help himself with a voter fraud, after having lot of congressional experience.. His psychopathic way to start spying on own citizens, via CIA, was another 'safeway' to hear who knows what, in particular after becoming the first out of thin 'air born' president in history (https://www.thoughtco.com/lyndon-johnson-36th-president-united-states-104806)...

Thank you for sharing this about him! He was far worse than I could have imagined! Just think how egotistical or warped in your thinking someone had to be to do that to a cemetery, yours or not. OMG! No doubt he was involved with JFK’s murder. It’s so sad to realize that its has been a rarity to get an honest, American loving president all these years, that didn’t have other diabolical plans! God bless you too!!

Evil has been perpetrated from the day we were banished from the Garden.

Though America did enjoy a long period of innocence. THOUGH we were far from innocent. I think God, as always, in His deep and abiding love was giving us, the American people, a chance to fall to our knees and repent. We failed to do it. Out of false pride.

Now all the ugly truths are being dragged into the light and it's heartbreaking.

I pray everyone humbles themselves and finds Jesus asap. It's the best I know to pray for anyone. Before the door closes. God help us all.

God Bless too;)

ALA should be best taken with VitB complexes, according to Dr. Berkson. Dr. Mercola sells the R-form of ALA with my favorite one, the L-Carnosine, which is capable of dissolving cataracts... WHen you look at the glycine pathway, and believe what https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6627940/ says, namely:

"Glycine is mainly synthesized from serine, threonine (in most mammals but not in humans; [26]), choline, sarcosine (N-methylglycine), and glyoxylate, and during endogenous synthesis of L-carnitine" then a preferential source of it should NOT be the the final glycine powder, but rather the source which your body will turn into it, namely L-carnitine, choline, or even the serine. The reason for this is an OLD science, from the 30,40-ies (again...) where Germans (again) found out that the fast proliferating peritoneal cancers are containing LOT of glycine residues. A 2012 Science article confirmed it, the glycine participates in fast proliferating cancer growths.. Serine on the other hand is supporting a recovery from Alzheimers, and does resolve the plaque within the amyloids of the AZ patients.

My point of view is, once you have a cancer, better avoid taking pure glycine powders...

I searched all over, but could not find my old ALA book. I do remember that Dr. Berkson discussed mushrooms relative to liver problems. And I thought, too, that he mentioned alfafa sprouts.

Hi Me JCart

I have a couple of articles you may find of interest

How does salt restriction lead to heart dis-ease and fear based reactionary thinking?

I describe the link between dehydration or hyponatremia, same same, and the adrenals.

Hyponatremia is an emergency status. The adrenals run the show in emergencies. Deploying all the adrenocortical hormones not just aldosterone.

Chronic dehydration results in chronic adrenal control.

RAAS is switched off with salt.

Symptoms of low salt or dehydration need to be learnt so they can be remedied asap.

Eg a headache is not a signal to take a Panadol.

I assert chronic dehydration is the cause of dementia. Brains are extremely sensitive to dehydration. Women are taking up 70% of the dementia beds.

This is because women require more salt. Women are designed to carry and lose more fluid than men.

Hydration equals salt plus water. Water follows salt.

The salt restriction directives are responsible for the huge increase in chronic dis-ease.

Compare statistics from 1980 to 2023, many fold increases.

Think about diabetes.

Salt restriction, adrenal cortical hormones, increased cortisol levels increases blood glucose.

Think about chronic kidney dis-ease, aldosterone reverses the natural mode of kidney filtration, from removing excess salt to scavenger.

The salt sensitives have enlarged adrenals. Their hypertension without cause is easily explained by extra adrenal response to salt. Adrenals are not designed to be used chronically. A condition that salt restriction ensures. They have two choices: exhaustion or extra production via enlargement.

Infertility is also ensured with salt restriction. An emergency is no time for bringing children into being. The adrenals prevent conception.

The IVF industry has been built on salt restriction directives.

Food preservation prior to refrigeration used a lot of salt.

Salt aids digestion. HCl production requires salt. Low stomach acid causes heart burn. Food fermentation in the intestines causes gas to push open the valves as it ascends upwards, taking stomach acid with it.

And finally, I must update my article I recently learned

To restrict salt is an old colonial strategy used to induce dehydration, stress intolerance and compliance Eg harsh salt controls in India and the salt march of Gandhi.

I also have an article that logically dismisses the gaseous exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide.

We breathe air not oxygen.

Mammalian physiology is based on hydration NOT oxygenation.

Oxygen toxicity is due to its power to dehydrate. Oxygen is primarily prescribed for the terminally ill NOT for breathlessness. Palliative care is not kind.

The lungs are rehydrating the RBCs as they pass through the alveoli capillaries with salt water. An IV saline infusion does the same.

The red light monitoring is checking hydration NOT oxygenation.

Reactive oxygen species ROS describes damage due to dehydration.

I assert dehydration is the insult that creates dis-ease.

Get salty to reclaim and maintain health.
